Local panels can also recall video images from television broadcasts and in-house video equipment such as DVDs or VCRs or security cameras.

Additional functions not only allow you to use the system but also to change the parameters (sometimes referred as "press and hold" features). So you can change things on the spot in the knowledge that you are not affecting other subsystems such as your security set up or your climate control.
